Interim Report on Relief Distribution to the flood victims of
Kurnool District
GOONJ worked closely with SERUDS, a local organization
to reach relief material to the flood affected areas.
|

A 36 member team including staff & volunteers of ‘SERUDS’
participated in evacuation, rescue, and relief operations for
the flood victims in Kurnool city and surrounding villages.
Working together with GOONJ SERUDS reached timely relief to
the flood victims.
Following relief material has reached the affected region till
now;
• Clothes for children, women and men
• Educational Material (Note books) to
the school children
• Footwear to all
• Sanitary napkins for women and adolescent
girls
• Toys for children
• Basic utensils for the families | | |

| Given GOONJ’s successful experience in Bihar
after the 2008 floods there, lots of toys & other recreational
material has been sent to the affected in Andhra Pradesh to
set up joyful activity centres for the flood affected children. |

• Handri Kottalu, urban slum- Kurnool
City
• Sunkesula village, Kurnool Mandal
• K.Singavaram village, C.Belagal Mandal
• Ganesh Nagar Kottalu, Slum –
Kurnool City
• Muzaffar Nagar, Kallur Mandal
• Kallur village, Kallur Mandal
• Ameer Hyderkhan Nagar, Slum of Kurnool
city Covering approx 8500 persons including children, girls, women
