SERUDS distributed 13 sewing machines to 13 destitute women duly providing skill development training for a period of 6 months. All are disadvantaged dalit women and victims of recent floods. On 30.06.2010 on the valediction of training program, Shri.Srivastava, AGM NABARD distributed 13 USHA sewing machines to the trained destitute women and girls for starting income generation activities.

This support of skill training in Tailoring & Embroidery and assistance for sewing machines was provided by the Philanthropists through GIVE INDIA. This initiative of SERUDS will empower destitute women financially and enable them to live with dignity. SERUDS has identified such women for further assistance and support. .

SERUDS NGO INDIA, a women development organization focusing on empowering deprived rural poor women. We have been implementing activities for sustainable livelihoods through skill development trainings. SERUDS imparted tailoring & embroidery training for a period of six months and provided sewing machines after successful completion of the training.

On 01.06.2010, on the occasion of closing ceremony 5 sewing machines were distributed to 5 destitute women and orphan girl. The trainees were confident enough to become self employed and earn their livelihoods without depending on men. This will facilitate for empowering women of Nannoor village of Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. The financial assistance for this training and purchase of sewing machines was received through the donations from GIVE INDIA. We believe economic empowerment of these women will facilitate social and political empowerment of women. They will actively take part in the decision making in the family and community.
